UrbanEntertainment.com features one of my favorite animated series, Sistah's N' the City, which was created by Tina Andrews. Its a great web series about a group of black women being friends and living life! If you like Sex in the City, well you'll like this too. Its similar, but definitely different!
NewMediaGroup presents "New Blacks", African Americans in Digital Art. This quicktime film is part of an on going art project conceived by Vasily Shumov (2000). The film is quite orginal and I challenge you to take a look. There is not much I can tell you, except you have to see it to understand what its all about..
There is so much I can tell you about gettosake, this site is a true blend of comics and flash animation. The best part is its all black superheroes all the time!! There are more series than I can count for you, so just go and check it out.
Bullseyeart features miss muffy and the muf mob, these getto fabulous little girls rap, fight, and bake cookies all in one day. They are hilarious. Oh, be advised their language is not suitable for kids.
Can't see the jazz greats in person, well you can still take a look at them up close and personal. Jazzlandscapes features animated interviews with some of our greatest jazz legends.
This issue is about she-power. Maatkara is a cool science fiction series featured on sci-fi.com, all I can say is you have to see it to believe it.
Dark. dangerous, and all diva. This is an animated series with lots of action. All I can tell you is she knows how to kick some butt and she does it with style. Visit othervision.com, to view this flick. I can't wait for the next episode.
Picture it, a female detective is shrunk down to a smaller size and has to do her job even though she looks like she 10! I like this one, check it out on gettosake.com - this guy really knows his flash animation.
Its quite hard to find black short films online. Thank God for urbanentertainment, one of the premiere websites for hosting and viewing short films and animations made for, by, and about black people. Take a look-see, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. If not let me know - lhenry@msoyonline.com.
Still I rise is a documentary that is as entertaining as it is thought provoking. This urbanentertainment feature takes you into the world of the many myths and stereotypes about black women.
If you like to laugh then you'll love My Babies' Mamas. This animated series on ubanentertainment is old to me, but possibly new to you. Its all about an affable barber juggling his relationships with his two sons and their mamas.
The Strike is a cute film, its about a group of elementary students who go on strike when their teacher refuses to let them read Malcolm X is class. Who says kids don't want to know about their history.
Bulleyeart.com is a cutting edge flash animation site with tons of animated series for you to watch, share, and enjoy. Miss Muffy and the Muff Squad is my favorite, it will definitely be featured in the next issue of cyber flicks for cyber chicks. I wonder which one will be your favorite.ut.
