presents "New Blacks", African Americans in Digital
Art. This quicktime film is part of an on going art project
conceived by Vasily Shumov (2000). The film is quite orginal
and I challenge you to take a look. There is not much I can
tell you, except you have to see it to understand what its all
about..
There
is so much I can tell you about gettosake, this site is a true
blend of comics and flash animation. The best part is its all
black superheroes all the time!! There are more series than
I can count for you, so just go and check it out.
Bullseyeart
features miss muffy and the muf mob, these getto fabulous little
girls rap, fight, and bake cookies all in one day. They are
hilarious. Oh, be advised their language is not suitable for
kids.
Can't
see the jazz greats in person, well you can still take a look
at them up close and personal. Jazzlandscapes features animated
interviews with some of our greatest jazz legends.
This
issue is about she-power. Maatkara is a cool science fiction
series featured on sci-fi.com, all I can say is you have to
see it to believe it.
Dark.
dangerous, and all diva. This is an animated series with lots
of action. All I can tell you is she knows how to kick some
butt and she does it with style. Visit othervision.com, to view
this flick. I can't wait for the next episode.

this one, check it out on gettosake.com - this guy really knows
his flash animation.

Still
I rise is a documentary that is as entertaining as it is thought
provoking. This urbanentertainment feature takes you into the
world of the many myths and stereotypes about black women.
If
you like to laugh then you'll love My Babies' Mamas. This animated
series on ubanentertainment is old to me, but possibly new to
you. Its all about an affable barber juggling his relationships
with his two sons and their mamas.
The
Strike is a cute film, its about a group of elementary students
who go on strike when their teacher refuses to let them read
Malcolm X is class. Who says kids don't want to know about their
history.
Bulleyeart.com
is a cutting edge flash animation site with tons of animated
series for you to watch, share, and enjoy. Miss Muffy and the
Muff Squad is my favorite, it will definitely be featured in
the next issue of cyber flicks for cyber chicks. I wonder which

sport! Win, Lose, tie is a short comedy featured on Urban entertainment,
about a couple going through the motions of breakup. Find out
who winds this battle.

BattleSeed. Here you will see a true blend of animation and
urban graphics. Its all about a girl who finds out her job is
to save the world. Sound interesting?
One
of the many great short films on blackflixx.com is "HairDo",
created by Genevieve Leyh. Its a short documentary on the
importance of hairdo's in the black community down south.
