Boys to Be Like
Positive African American Cartoons and Characters for African American boys and teen

Though black animation is limited, I wanted to highlight a few existing characters that parents and children can enjoy. From Little Bill to Teddy P. Brain for the babies and toddlers. Static Shock, the Golden Blaze, and Fat Albert for adolescents and tweens. And the Boondocks for older teens, and parents comfortable with the type of entertaining, but sometimes controversial content on the Boondocks. I personally love the Boondocks, but I realize it is not everyone's cup of tea. I recommend all of these cartoons because I think they are positive depictions of Black Boys, providing them with characters to related to, look up to, and admire.
